air compressor

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting an air compressor for working on the car and around the house. I don't want to spend no more than 400 bucks.

What do you guys think about this one?

Is this a good model to get if I'm only going to be using it once in a while?

That's a dandy. I got an oiless one for Christmas and was going to trade it in on that one because I thought the oilless would be really loud but it's not so bad so I kept it. I would get that oiled one though if I were buying it myself. Supposed to be much quieter and last forever.

It's quieter b/c of the belt drive compressor, not direct drive. They do last for a LONG time if you take care of them.

That's a good unit btw, not a bad price either.

I got this one. Very, very quiet. It goes on sale off and on, so watch the ads. It claims the regular price is only $440 but I remember that it was higher.

I got a craftsman in my garage...loud as shit. Make sure you remember to by a water separater w/ it and drain the water in the winter. The one you picked looks like a great choice. Good luck!!
