Hmm cool setup. I don't really like the blue pedals and that style either, I ended up buying this setup:

Reflex: is ur footrest small or large?

Thanks.

I got some chrome ones. They're a bitch in the rain. You have to wipe your feet really well before getting in.

LOL, yeah not really my style anymore but my mom didn't wan't them in the Accord (of which she's now the proud owner.) So, I figured money already spent, might as well use them.

Here are the ones I ended up ordering. They are the Razo "titan plate and Stainless Mesh"

The Foot rest is part RT 27, the Brake Pedal is RT 25 and the Accelerator is RT 21. The watch is there for size reference.

Are aftermarket pedals for our car made to attach over the existing pedals, or as replacements for them?

These specific pedals are designed to fit over the stock ones. I'd take another pic, but looks like the last one made the camera die. The brake just clips to the existing one via two swivel clips that are held in place by screws. The footrest u drill into the existing foot rest, attach a plate and the new plate goes on top of that. The accelerator has a pad that is double-side taped to the existing pedal, strapped then the aftermarket attaches to that.

The Razo ones are universals that atttach to exisitng pedals. I only know of the Mugen pedals that replace the stock ones.

steel mesh
I have the steel mesh ones and they're no problem w/ wet shoes. Mine are same as the one above except they have black accents w/ silver mesh instead of silver accents. got them for 16 at autozone.

Here are the Mugen pedals. Very clean and functional but also very expensive.

Hey TypeSDragon,
I went with the Razo RP53 Carbon Fiber Pedals--the brake pedal is the same width as the OEM, which will keep the distances between brake and accelerator almost identical to the original configuration.
The brake pedal rubber was removed and the Razo bolted on (with the use of double sided tape). For the accelerator, I drilled it to insure it would stay. Happy New Year--

These are Nokya Pedals ~$25
This is my setup. The brake pedal is bolted on in the middle (see the 2 bolts) and the gas pedal is both clamed (on all 4 sides) and screwed on (at the bottom). I kinda wished I had gone with brushed aluminum to match my shift knob I got afterwards, but who knows...$25 a set isnt too bad. My biggest complaint so far is that the corner of the brake pedal facing the gas can be a little rough...VERY bad if you have expensive shoes since it can easily scratch it. And dont bother trying to drive barefoot. The holes hold plastic circles that has a sharp edge to them that really grabs hold of the bottom of your shoes.

Here are mine.... They are type R pedals, & have the rubber inserts so your feet don't slip. I got them off of ebay.

Hey those look pretty nice! Did you install them, yet? I'd like to get a similar pedal, but I'm wondering what you think about the relative sizes of each pedal.

Also, I haven't been able to find a definite answer to this question: are the Mugen pedals replacement pedals or are they the "clip on" style?

Thanks!
Dave

Talk about raising the DEAD!!!!! I have seen HellaWhat's pedals, and they do look nice!!!! Someone here was going to buy the Mugen set. If you have post some pics here!!! The mugens were made for the Inspire/TL so they are direct replacements. They look sweet but are EXPENSIVE!!!!!

I have been waiting to buy the Mugen for so long. I'll be getting them right after the door sills are installed that way there would be more metal iin the interior. Its just 174 dollars plus shipping for pedals is what's holding me back...wish there was a hookup on these pedals even $20 savings would make it more appealing.

I have the Mugen pedals. I only installed the brake and clutch pedals because I didn't want to drill through the gas pedal. The brake and clutch pedals replace the factory rubber. I don't have a digital camera but I'll try to take some pics and post them. This is what they look like.
