I just received my HID kit from XENONEYES.com. My ballast went out on my passenger side and I didnt want to pay $500 for a new one. The aftermarket kit comes with 2 ballasts, 2 HID 8k bulbs, and 2 other connector wires(w/ male and female ends).I dont know how to install this to the factory set-up. The instructions are horrible, the words are jumbled and the whole process does not go with our car. If anyone has installed an aftermarket HID kit on the CL or would know the steps to doing it please let me know.

easy: you see the connection for the old ballast? you have to cut it off and rewire it to the new connection, they might have given you connectors so if they do you'll have to attach it to replace the old connectors.


1. take off battery connection
2. snipp off old connection to ballast
3. take out old ballast
4. connect new connection
5. mount ballast
6. might need to seal up the hole where the old one is
7. plug in new bulb

pretty simple.
