I concur 100%.

I purchased a pair of Depo black accent headlights when I decided to do a headlight retrofit and just used the internals of an oem to make it somewhat worthy. Everything went fine but after just literally weeks in the car the lenses began developing micro-fracture and there were dozens of them all over it. Some may argue that the heating process could have caused this but I never use an oven rather a heat gun to split the casing. It's an easy thing to conclude that I purchased $250 (at the time) POS headlight assemblies. And those were the highest quality in aftermarket suppliers.

There's a reason the oem headlights are so damn expensive: quality of materials, design and assembly. If you're in need of replacement headlight and refuse to pay high dealer prices, buy oem used. That's the next best thing. That's where places like eBay and car-parts.com come in real good use.

It’s not that easy to locate the stuff that you are looking for. But what you can do is have a glance at the inventories of some online auto stores, as I am sure you will be able to find your stuff there. Some of them, which I know are heritageautoparts, wood river auto parts and http://www.autopartsfair.com
Check them out and you could find some other as well.
