After 7 years, 1 month, and 221,109 miles ...
I've said goodbye to my Daily Driver
This was one of the absolutely most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. No engine issues, original clutch, just the usual wear and tear items which may have been dealt with outside of the 7,500 mile service intervals.
These were the last pictures I took of it Labor Day weekend '08
But I won't be leaving the Azine community. This is what I picked up last Tuesday night (sorry for the crappy pics ... haven't properly preped for my first coats of Zaino yet)
and yes ... it's a 6-speed.

Congrats on the new Acura! So did you trade in the CL, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for the trade in? It just shows if you take care of a car, the car will take care of you. Enjoy the new ride.

I fucking love that color. Hows it perform?

Better not let the people from the Car Talk forum see this thread I personally love how the new TL's look, and I'll definitely want to check out the manual trans TL's. I heard they have rollback assist, does that work well?

If it were anyone else, Id ask how often do you go above 134, but its you, so.....
Anyways 13.8 in the 1/4 stock is pretty impressive. Its a tenth faster then the Accord V6 6MT coupe (thats a mouthful). I wonder how it handles mods.

So far, so good. Much quieter and tighter all around than the CL was, but I'm sure that's largely based on the mileage factor. Don't really care for the 4 doors, but getting what I really wanted would have been too expensive (A5 with the lesser engine) or not meeting my needs (either 3 series 'X' coupe).
Much better low-end pull then the CL. Cornering makes the stock CL look pedestrian by comparison ... makes my lowered and modified CL pale by comparision - especially in yesterday's rain.
Quite unobtrusive ... almost like having an automatic. Basically takes away the need to ride either the clutch or gas on any incline. Pretty nice.
Fortunately, from where I'm sitting ... I don't see it ... only those people who are disappearing in my mirror.

At least you got your monies worth for the CL.
If you dont mind me asking, how much did they give you for it? Did you get the TL for MSRP or below?
Those new wheels on the 6MT actually make that car look smaller. They really should have made it more of an "S" model though, black chrome, blacked out headlights, bigger brakes.

Wow. It doesnt look like it even broke 100k.
Its a shame most people are scared off by the mileage though.

am debating the grill treatment. was looking into an aftermarket unit, but some fit and finish issues I didn't think were well thought out, and not of the caliber I'm used to from the manufacturer. have seen some where the center piece was painted (that part which holds the caliper), but am lukewarm to that treatment. thinking of maybe having the surround painted to match body, leaving the center piece 'floating' ... unless someone can come up with a Mugen type grill for it.
