After 4 hrs Interior detailing done!
I started around 12:30 PM. I stoped for a good 1hr for a nice lunch.. and I am done at 4:30 PM. The interior plus the trunk is done...
Next is the exterior paint and the engine compartment.
Starting with a nice wash, then Mother's Carnuba Clear Wax and with help of paint scrub wax for the paint contamination, and finally couple coats of Gold Class Wax and Polish..
BTW, I got a bottle trim detailer from Mugaiur's... it is very nice stuff ... Amazing! It resotres plastic door trim to original look!

Yeah, I am slapping myself real hard... I need to clay my car.. I could not take out the road grim out of lower part of the doors... It was really rough!!
Next time clay bar for sure. This time I used my elbow power and Carnuba Cleaner wax (liquid) and Mag's Scrub Cleaner 1 coat each.. I had the orbital buffer next to me siting idle...
I did not use the Gold Class Wax... cause it took me 4 hrs to finish.. couple coats...
Pics to come soon.

I'm gonna do a complete interior detail job when spring break starts. I'll be pully out the seats and all that jazz in order to make sure i get ALL the crap out. Then it's time for cruising.

Lookin good man! You need some daytime outdoor shots to you can get the car to shine like crazy! You should try to get some tire shine too, gives the tires that nice new shiny look.
Have you tried Zaino yet? imho its easier to apply, but it gives just as good of a shine.
BTW- What did you use to clean the engine bay? That thing looks brand new!

no.. no Zaino for me..
As for the tires...Tomorrow, they are being removered and stored for next winter, just look at the trim detailer that I applied to the winter mats and the splash gaurds... amazing resullts...I can use it to dress the tires and they will look like new again!
As for the egine, I used Hi Pressure water at the do-it-yourself wash and a terry towel to wipe out. I also used the trim detailer cleaner on the plastic trim . And Mag Metal Cleaner and Wax on the CAI tube.
Few things are annoying:
1) Dust on the dashboard. I can't stop the dust!
2) I have to use a clay bar next time for sure.
3) I need to replace the front windshield.
4) fix the rear bumper
5) the lug nuts are rusty!
Ah... I have some white paint (shoe poslish) overspray on the right side

I used this one:
CALIFORNIA GOLD®
ORIGINAL FORMULA CARNAUBA CLEANER WAX
Original Formula Carnauba Cleaner Wax is designed to be the one-step plan for paint preservation. This special Carnauba Cleaner Wax is formulated to clean and protect in just one application. We used the same Brazilian #1 yellow carnauba that makes our Pure Carnauba Wax so special, and combined it with a light polish that will smooth minor flaws and make your paint snap. Carnauba Cleaner Wax is especially effective on fiberglass and gel coats. Available in long-lasting, easy-to-apply liquid or paste.
#05701, 16 oz. liquid.
#05500, 12 oz. paste.
Next would be:
Gold Class Clear Coat Car Wax
The Meguiar family has been making quality surface care products since 1901...and our elite Gold Class line consists only of cutting-edge products that deliver exceptional results. When we first introduced Gold Class Car Wax, we said it was the most reflective car wax in Meguiar's long history. Now, after demanding car lovers have tried it on a wide array of cars in a wide array of conditions...Gold Class has truly "wowed" them and their friends. It has set a new standard for exceptional quality. Regardless of what paint you have, this wax will dramatically darken the color, bring out the full richness of the paint and create clear, sharp reflections unlike anything you've ever experienced. It also glides on and off so easily that customers tell us they are waxing more often. And as part of our 100th anniversary celebration, we have created a new plastic, easy-open, easy-close container for our Gold Class Paste Wax.
G-7014 ....................11 oz. (Paste) $9.99 add to cart
G-7016 ....................16 oz. (Liquid) $9.99 add to cart

That cleaner crap is just gonna lead to swirl city in the sun... dump that shit and get the paste or the liquid NON-CLEANER.. it is Mothers California PURE Carbuna wax.. smells like banannas.. I recommend you clay bar, use a swirl remover or brightner then finish off with the pure carbuna wax..Especially on black.

The car looks pretty good. Not ZAINO good , but pretty good.
One thing I hate is that ugly “clear-bra” stuff on the front bumper.
You can clearly see every line where it ends.
That one picture looks worse then ANY amount of touched up chips I’ve seen on a car.
I saw a black 3-Series with that on the other day parked at the mall.
I took a close look at it and he had stone chips that went THROUGH the coating and still chipped the paint.
Now the poor bastard has ugly plastic on his hood and still has chips & holes in the plastic.
I don’t understand why people pay HUNDREDS of dollar for that stuff.
I can maybe see using it on White or Silver, but never a dark color like Black or Blue.

Nashua,
try a Swifter sheet to control the dust on the dashboard. . . I keep one in the glove box and it does a great job of pickin up the dust quick. . . especially on the NAV screen.

as far as interior detailing goes, looks great...i personally use Zaino Leather in a bottle to do the seats, steering wheel, entire dash, center consol, doors, back leather inserts, and even the trim around the rear speakers...looks terrific when it dries...trunk the same...even the engine bay i use it for that black panel clipped to the chasis and would use it for the engine/battery covers if i didn't have it vinyl'd
exterior-wise, Zaino is my route obviously, but knock yerself out with other washes/waxes
if u don't wanna drop the car b/c yer up in NH, that's cool..i'd suggest u get yer hands on some '03 tails and consider the clear diffusers

i'm sorry...but i really don't think it looks that good...practice makes perfect though...and i think those meguiars products your using for the paint aren't the best...

Do you only weigh 50lbs., because I don't see a single leather wrinkle in those seats. Mine are all wrinkled up after 3 years, plus the lower part of the back is stained where the dye from some new jeans faded onto the seat.

Scooter,
The 3M was a pre-cut from AutoBahn. It covers the front section, the front bumper and side mirrors. If I had the option to do it the way I like it would be great.
And thanks for the comments

POOR!!!! :shakehd: if the film is lacking in places b/c that's all u could afford, ok, but i'd seriously consider getting it redone with lots more coverage area, or just take it off completely...just my there

now i've NEVER seen ANY film that covers only parts of the bumper and not the whole bumper, so i'm disappointed bout that...if u like it, props to u...in the future, tho, please consider what i said before getting a film put on...i think u and i and many others know how expensive films r (off the top of my head, a LExus SC430 front bumper ONLY costs around $300 for a GOOD 3M film), so im sure yer always looking for the best bang for the buck
hey, if we wind up having some sort of PAA/East Coast meet, yer comin down, right???
