aem v2 intake

Has anyone tried one of these?? I heard their suppose to be better than their oringnal cai. I just got my self a 3.2 cl-p and this would be my first mod to the car. I read some reviews on this system for the 2002 civic si and the gains are only about 5 hp with some loss of low end torque and hp. Will the gain be any different in our V6 engine?? Since cl-p intake system is more restrictive than cl-s will this be a wise investment?

I believe the gains are similar (5 hp). AEM has DYNOs of the V2 on their website. www.aempower.com.

That sounds about right. Gains on the CL-P would be anywhere from 5-7hp peak.....

Also keep in mind that the intake isn't necessarily more restrictive on the CL-P... it's just different. The actual diameter of the intake is pretty much the same... the big difference is that the CL-S has a dual stage intake with an IRMC, and that's where the extra power from the intake comes into play.

I read the dyno, based on a V6 Accord it seems like their cai intake is more effective than their V2?? They claim that this is better than their oringnal cai. The cai shows peak of 15hp gain while the V2 peak is about 9.7hp.

You are probably looking at an 03 Accord, then an 02 down. The 03s have 240hp, the 02 down have 200. An intake on the 03 does wonders.
