AEM Short Ram Does Anthing in HP.

Does the AEM short ram do anything HP.

I dyno'd 8-10hp over stock in the upper RPM range with a V6 Accord.

My Friend and myself are debating on if it does anything to our cars HP. I have a clp.
I say yes he says no

i think it depends on the car.
on a cl by removing the resonator an where the intake is located
next to the battery tucked low, you will see gains.
But, on other cars the shortram is literally siting on top or right next to the engine you will not see gains.

So it will have more HP.
But how do i remove the resonator.

Wow that is big. I was going to say by taking that out it helps out alot?
So the AEM Short Ram will help out in HP a little.

The short ram intakes could draw in warm air from the engine compartment......which makes less HP

That looks nothing like my resonator - that must be the resonator from the Accord or the CLP. Mine is a little smoother flowing than that, but still obnoxious so I removed it and replaced the downpipe of it with a piece of piping and a mesh cover over the end. That with my hi-flow comptech filter is working great.

So what is my best option with the short rams since i bought it already.

Take out the res. and install the intake will make the best proformance.

That is a picture of the resonator I pulled out of my V6 Accord.
