Pros: Faster Revs, around 6-7 HP, shiny anodized coloring
Cons: Can cause drain on battery and alternator problems if
you're running high electrical needs, you already have
pulleys

I like mine and for the money I saw value, I have expirenced none of the fore mentioned cons except, I do now have a set of stock pulleys in my closet:P Do a search for AEM or TRU pulley I have found quite a lot on pulley for the 2nd gen.

For me, it is not the cost of the AEM power pulleys ($99 on sale).

It is:

1) The installation hassle. Surely, I do not want to do this myself ...
2) Unorthodox Racing is making a better set of pullyes for the CLS.
3) I have pulleys do I need another set?

Good:
1-4 HP increase
Colors

Bad:
Pain in the ass install

The only difference I can see with the AEM and Unorthodox pulleys in Unorthodox is making a crank pulley which they say will free up a lot of HP. Personally I don't see it making a big difference. And if you think the alternator pulley is a tough install, try the crank pulley!

DYNO DYNO

I'll spend 300 plus install if someone can prove it frees 8-10 hp.

6-7hp off Pulleys?

Somebody got a dyno chart to show the pulley increase?

For $100 I'd get it if it adds 5hp.

You're right I was getting a little ahead of myself 1-3 Hp for the relief of parasitic forces and 4-5HP from the AEM sticker that is included!

The AEM Pulleys dont do much...but they do like nice under the hood...

However...for those of you that are Brave enough to buy an Unorthodox Underdrive pulley (ie..the Crank pulley)...please be forewarned that Hondas use harmonic balancers on our crankshafts and that by underdriving the crank pulley you may damage many internal parts that are driven by that pulley....do some research on all forums before you do this...I think the miata sites have a link to a BMW report on Crank Pulleys.

The before and after dyno for my car netted 8-10hp with the AEM Pulleys.

Of course, I probably rigged the dyno to falsely show an inflated gain for the pullies since I get a kickback from AEM for every set of pullies I help sell.

Each car is different, so YMMV.

With my pulleys and iridium plugs, I dropped a .1 in the quarter mile.

i had them on my 6 gen accord v6. and i've said this plenty of times.

its not worth it

why?

cause when your crusing around 50 mph and your car dies and you have no way to control a dead car, things could get a little nasty!!!!!!!

My car has never had any problems with the pulleys installed. I also have about 1600w of power for my sounds. As long as you know what to do, and what not to do with the pulleys, you'll be ok.

Actually, it is not out until April. It is a pre-order. I know because I ordered them and then when I called, they told me it was a pre-order.

I had em on my Accord V-6 too... and my battery died.
But you have to remember the alt on the CLS and TLS is some
20-30 amps higher. We won't have that problem. Besides,
Unorthodox only attributes 15% of it's performance from ratios.
So they're not really very underdriven. Just light weight.

I have a 590w stereo, with the stock battery, and my AEM Pullies installed for over a year now. No dead batteries and no alterantor problems either. Just use some common sense, and you won't have any problems with dead batteries.

If jamming your stereo for an hour with the car turned off while you wash your ride "makes sense" to you, then the pullies aren't for you.
