AEM Intake

I've got a mod question. For the AEM CAIs, what's the difference (in reference to horsepower and sound) between the "normal" AEM CAI and the V2 AEM CAI? I've saved enough money now I just have to see which has the most bang for the buck. Oh yeah, is there even an AEM V2 that fits on the 01's?

The only real difference is that the V2 has a slightly redesigned pipe that is two different sizes at certain parts, which is supposed to make a resonant effect that will get more air into the engine with less 'turbulence' .... not worth the extra money IMO

you will be just as happy with the regular AEM. sound on both I think is identical. not to mention the AEM is available now and the V2 is not currently available for the Type S. you probably dont feel like waiting.

And the release date keeps getting changed for this. I'm starting to wonder if they're just not going to release it for the Type-S. We've been waiting over a year for this to come out now!
