AEM Installation

Hi, i Just got in my new AEM CAI with bypass valve and i was wondering if anyone could help me with some instructions on how to install it with the valve. I heard the install of the intake itself is relatively easy but some instructions can always help. Thx alot.

Well if I can remember correctly, the intake is a 1 piece. You will need to cut the pipe first to be able to mount the bypass. After doing that, take out all of the original parts. Start from the top, take off the bolts(I believe they are all 10mm bolts)..then go to the bottom. You need to take off the black plastic guard on the bottom. Do this by taking off the plastic clips using a flat head screwdriver to pull the middle part outward then just pull it gently off. From there you should be able to see the bottom of the box, there is 2 10mm bolts that you need to take off. From there you slide the box out...you should now have everything out. Then follow the install rules on the AEM instructions. I think this should help you through it...you can always ask more questions. And please if I have forgotten or got something wrong, please someone correct me. Im typing this off the top of my head.

Well the bypass should have come with a cutout for you to use when cutting...this is to prevent the pipe from being too long I believe. After you put the cutout on there, use a hack saw or a band saw if you can get your hands on one.
