People with j swaps are running this. I doubt anyone with a 03 cls 6 speed is running it. It is not compatible with our engine unless you swap the crank sensors to auto ones. It is made for the auto engine mated to the manual trans. You can be the guinee pig.

Along with the sensors you will also need to swap the entire engine harness and wire the gauge cluster and temp sensors to work properly with external signal modifiers.

Not when the difference is three wire vs two wire sensors.

That's dumb aem would do that, what a tease for the CLS6 guys. I was thinking about selling my aem fic to upgrade so I can have the added features. I know it would be overkill but nothing wrong with that haha.

^I'll be running it soon. Super ass easy to use all the automatic wiring, and it's definitely the easiest way to do a 6 speed swap.

The only issue is the tach and engine temp sensor. Still trying to figure that out. Also reverse lights might have to be hooked up to a custom switch.

For the crank sensor (possibly the cam sensor as well if it too is not compatible) issue, why not modify/machine the crank trigger wheel and use the auto trans crank sensor?

Converting the manual engine to an auto engine is not a big deal at all. Just switch over the parts, no modification or machining necessary.

Wasnt sure about part fitment between the two but I figured they were interchangeable. So, whats the complication in that?

Do you have a 6 speed, or auto?

Or why not disassemble the EMS box, separate the two boards, and move the jumper to "HALL" and run it off the stock 6MT sensor set and harness (jumper harness at the ECU required)?

Lmao, this would make things entirely too easy. Everybody, remove your engines, install the full auto setups and then reinstall the engine. If you forget to tighten the crank pulley bolt, repeat the first few steps but this time TIGHTEN the bolt and then reinstall the engine again. It's THAT easy....

.....move a jumper. HA!

Seriously though, there is a jumper on the board. The EMS will run a CL-S6 sensor set and harness. Need a picture of it?

Would that jumper spit out correct tach, speedo, and engine coolant temps?

Ding ding you hit the nail on the head lol!! That's what I'm doing with mine. Using manual sensors and gears. Also not using a auto harness!

Only swapped cars have problems with the tach because it's originally setup for a 4cyl engine, our clusters will work fine since they are designed to work for a V6. Same goes for the speedo because usually swapped cars come with smaller wheels and tires from the factory so the total tire diameters are different which would throw the swapped cars speedo off since it doesn't have the correct speedo gear installed for the tire differences. As far as the coolant temp that can easily be fixed with a sensor swap or in the software in the aem. Just like civicdrivr said aem can be switched between hall or mag sensors. So a harness and sensor swap isn't necessary.

^No no, I'm pretty sure the EMS will spit out Tach and Speedo made for a 4 cylinder Cluster. The Accord 4 cyl cluster takes the readings correctly, but not the 6 cyl cluster.

It's cuz the EMS was made for integra and civic swaps. I'll have to look into the EMS MAG and HAL differences.

I'll have to go auto because of the dash wiring. The Auto dash wiring is plug and play for the EMS, whereas the Manual dash needs to be rewired.

If you're already a true 6speed CL then Civic's method probably works best.

That's only because it's pre configured to be used in a swapped car. The software settings in aem can easily be changed to be used with a 6 cylinder engine and tach. I don't think anything has to be rewired for a manual dash I haven't heard of that. I'm not even sure what that would have to do with the aem lol? The oem pcm doesn't control anything with the dash..

Hmm, I haven't read about that on this board. It seems that the S2000 cars running with J32A2 swaps can use it though.

I don't know if it would work properly with our cars, or if it would be easier than the AEM EMS 2.
