AEM Cold Intake
AEM Cold Intake
I know that there is typically a significant difference between a "drop in" air filter replacement and and a new air intake system.
I was reading through an aftermarket tuner magazine and I discovered that AEM makes a cold air intake system that increased horsepower in a Honda Civic by about 8 horsepower. This result was confirmed by dyno testing.
Is it too early to expect that an aftermarket air intake system might be available for the 2001 CL-S? I would be interested to know if other CL-S owners have researched this. Thanks!

AEM was promising a CAI for the CL-S for more than 6 months now... It is constantly being delayed for no apparant reason.
Xephyr is developping his own. Check his site: http://www.xephyrperformance.com/prod01.htm
It is in final stages of testing as I understand from his posts. It Looks good to me!

Xephyr here, has generously designed and is producing a CAI (Cold Air Intake) for our 2001 CL-S models automobiles.
He has results of testing and more information at his website:
www.xephyrperformance.com
He is a fellow board member and is a great guy.

I know that quite a few of us have ordered from him already, and that more will surely follow. He is already shipping his CAI's (with bypass valves
) while AEM and others are still sitting on their candy a$$e$ trying to develop them. Thanks Xephyr....just let us know if you need us to throw some more plugs out there
