AEM CAI anyone have fitment issue's

Mine seem's to be too long. Also the spacer mounting bracket lines up better with the rubber press in fitting than the threaded hole. Anyone else have these problem's?

I'll let you know as soon as I get somebody to help me install mine. Tonight, I just realized I'm a mechanical moron. That's so weird...I can build a house from the ground up(since I used to work for my father's construction business), but for the life of me, I'm restricted, mechanically-speaking, to filling up gas, checking tire pressure and changing light bulbs(sometimes, those last two are even debatable...lol).

I have no idea what your 2nd sentence means and I just installed mine on Saturday. I think the problem is the following:

1. Where the attachment point for the intake is you will have a brace that is in the way of bolting the intake to the inner fender wall. You have to get rid of this brace. On the very inside of the fender you can pull up on a little plastic pin and remove the plastic piece covering this brace. Once you do that just unbolt that piece and the intake will bolt down no problem.

2. I would put some WD-40 on the rubber mount on both threads to help it screw down.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

JZ,
Everything is gutted that was from the old box. Including the brace the metal painted brace that you speak of and everything behind it.
If you look down to where your mounting point is you will see two holes ne threaded for the filter box and one just forward of it with no thread's, just a rubber press fitting. Also I tried pushing the cone as far back on the intake but it still pushes the back of my fog lamp housing.
I might take it to AEM this week to have them look at it.
