aem cai affect mileage?

is this something that everyone is experiencing? does the AEM CAI lower the gas mileage by a lot? i mean, i'm getting like 19-20 mpg for mixed highway/city driving...as opposed to like 22-24mpg before CAI. is that about right?

I don't have the CAI yet, but I am guessing the lower gas milage is from all the HIGH REVING you are doing now!!! You have to LOVE the way it sounds!!!! So you are keeping your car in VTEC longer!!! Just a guess!!!!

i would have to say i AM revving a bit more than i did before, cuz you just can't deny that roar...it's so nice. but, last fillup, i tried to keep my revving to a minimum and it still ended up around 280-290 miles for my fill up. i'm curious, cuz before, i'd end up with between 310-330 for each fill up...

Actually you should be getting BETTER gas mileage with the CAI! But the main culprit is not being able to keep the foot off the gas! The reason why you get better gas mileage is because your engine gets cooled more efficently and requires less resources to perform at the same before when it was stock.
