AEM CAI
AEM CAI
I just installed the AEM CAI last night, and all I can say is WOW!!
The question I have to those of you that have one installed, do you notice the slight hiss when sitting idle, and applying a small amount of gas? Is this the vacumn that we normally did not hear on the stock intake? Also, when you turn off the ignition, it sounds like the CAI is depressurizing, is this common??
Aside from these hopefully normal "traits", I love this thing!!
Looking forward to next roadkill.

The things you described are all normal for a CAI on the Type S. Do a search on CAI and you'll find more explanations others as well as myself have posted

Yes this is common with that type of setup. From the inside of the car I doubt you can hear it much... but from the outside I am positive. If you had a short ram I think you would end up hearing it even more.
