ADR Enigma 18x8, 235/40/18 T1-S deal for $1599!!

I went to Tire Town Fair and get a quote for $1845 for this combo ADR Enigma 18x8, 235/40/18 Toyo T1-S. I said: "Do you beat a posted price on the web, and they told me get a print out and we match it"

There is a deal on wheelmax for $1599.

If they match it, is it a good deal?. No shipping, no tax, no installation cost. Everythig included.

I know that synth19 got this other combo: Toyo FZ4 225/40/18 and ADR Enigma 18b7.5 +48
I hope this combo ADR Enigma 18x8, 235/40/18 Toyo T1-S will fit on the CLS.

Thanks.

Here is the Tire:

I like the wheel, what is the weight? The price seems OK if the wheel is not heavy (over 20lbs.)..

It's been reported on this site that the 18x7.5 is 23lb. I do not know how much the 18x8 would be. The guys at Tire Town fair actually was pushing for the 18x7.5 claiming the 18x8 may not be available with the correct offset for the CLS.

Is that too heavy?

I don't know (that's about the wieght of our orig. wheels), and for a price of almost $300 a wheel I'd like to find something closer to 18 lbs (something like RH CP-10's).. But, they are good looking wheels (I like wheels that have 5 & 10 spoke design).

Another very similar deal

would be:

Konig Imagine 7.5x18 Hyper black ($230) with 235/40/18 NITTO 555 ($151) from tires.com for a total of $1524 + $60 for (lugs+locks+etc)

Here is the Konig wheel:

If you are going with an 18" wheel, then you need to stay 3lbs below the weight of the stock 17" wheels to keep the acceleration the same (Stock are about 25-26lbs each, so if you are going with 18", 22lbs or less should not hurt performance.

If you are going with the 17" wheel, then you can gain some "pick-up" by going with anything less than 25lbs per wheel. My SSR Competitions weigh about 14lbs each -- you can feel the increased acceleration.

The Toyo T1S in the top picture can be had for 150ea x 4 (600 set + tax). My SSR Competitions in 17x8" 48+ offset go for $320 - $370 each (depending on your deal).

Check the price of the wheels (with the Toyos included by subtracting about $600).

I don't have the Nittos, but the 555s get good reviews. The guy who sold me my Toyos said he liked the 555s.

Be sure to get the right offset for your application.

Thanks all for the input

I just dropped $1525 on new wheels and tires:

Here is the deal from Tires Town Fair:

Starting from a quote from discount tires of:

4 x $151 for the NITTO 555 235/40/18
4 x $215 Koing Imagine, Silver, 18x7.5
1 x $40 20-lugs, 4-locks and 4-valves
$73 shippinng
=============
$1577.00

Now here is the deal he matched:

4 x $153.75 for the NITTO 555 235/40/18
4 x $215.00 Koing Imagine, Silver, 18x7.5
1 x $039.80 4-Wheel Computer Balancing
4 x $002.75 4-Stem valves

FREE 20-lugs, 4-locks
FREE Mountiing
Future 4-Wheel alignment is just $33
==============
Total is $1525.80

Still $50 less than Tires.com. They wheels and the tires should be here and installed by Tuesday!

Eric, the Konig are, 18x7.5, 23.8 lb each and have a +45 offset.

I hope that I will not have rubbing, nor negative impact on the performance.
