My beater car is a 97 civic with drum brakes on the rear. I was just curious if there is an easier way to adjust the brakes without having to take the drums off? Is it true that by reversing the car about 15mph using the ebrake to gradually stop it will work? Thanks.

 

Some cars have "self adjusting" parking brakes, but I find that they never really work...

Best to just pull the drums
