Finally....................I've given up making the DVD for now. It's going to be an MPEG format video that's 22mins or so. 720x480 screen size

I'm gonna get flammed by RobG and couple of other people about this

Update:

The file was finished encoding before I left work but there are still some tweaks i need to do. BTW. The file is about 220megs so be prepared for a long download.


Agreed I was orginally going to try and get it out on DVD. I will for sure but I ran into time and hardware issues that i wasn't expecting to. I'll have a few versions.

I HIGHLY reccomend that you use the bit torrent downloading system for this. It would decrease your load like crazy. What happenes is its a download client. You use a program to create a .torrent file which contains server information. Anyway, this really light client ends up downloading part of the movie from you, and part from other people. Its really efficient and i have gotten 800kb/s+ download speeds with the system. It also verifys the info and allows resuming. AIM me if you want more information or want me to host. I will be glad to do it!

 

My Aim name is "Pid3w" which is on all the time, or "PythonLNX" abour 20% of the time (when im watching tv )

It's bloated.......it's NEEDS MUCH WORK. It's NOT PERFECT. I didn't get time to encode in divx otherwise it'd be much smaller and better quality.

Just finished downloading the video ... Looks like there wasn't any video of me racing anyone :-( ... But overall very cool! Wish there was more Acura racing and less random racing too. Good job Zapata... Thanks for braving it out in the freezing windy cold that day to catch us a sweet vid.

Yes yes There MANY things i need to improve!!!! I realized after recording/viewing/editing. But be assured i love doing this stuff and so I will be adding more from some recordings i've done and then will most definitely add from future local and regional meets.

also a tip for making the video more entartaining is a highway cruise.

i have the scenes from the drive to paa (remeber my friend that was hanging out the sunroof?) unforunately not all had a steady hand.

i will try to get my firewire working again and upload the 4 hours of video to edit. yet agian.
