5yrs/60k miles.

Since you have a 2001 the powertrain was extended to 7yrs/100k miles.

I'm about to pick up a used 2001 CL-S but was wondering how I would transfer the warranty or does it transfer automatically. As for the extended power train warranty. does that also just transfer over? Thanks for the help guys. My first post also. can't wait to pick up my car.

The factory warranty (4yr/50k miles) is based on the original delivery date .. but carries over to future owners. The free extended tranny warranty is the same (only covers the POS auto-tranny). If the car was bought with an extend warranty, the warranty will transfer if the car was bought from the original owner. If the car is traded to a dealer, the purchased extended warranty is gone.
