Acura Steering Wheel Emblem

I really like the Acura steering wheel emblem on the 2003 models. Anyone know how much it would cost to have this retrofitted on a 2001 model? Would just the airbag cover need to be replaced or the entire steering wheel/

I believe only the airbag cover needs to be replaced, but I'm also sure that this is an expensive procedure as the airbag itself would be involved as well.....

You'd save tons of money if you bought a marker with metallic paint and did it yourself, you might want to make a stencil and then fill it in with the paint ...just an idea.

uhh, why dont you just order the emblem and glue it over the existing emblem on the steering wheel...its the same size and should be a perfect fit....now your 600 dollar job has become a 5 dollar job!!

You know I was wondering if that could be done. I'll call me Service Manager at Continental Acura to see if they just sell the emblem piece.

the airbag "seam" is below the emblem, you can see and feel it if you try hard enough, also...how to you think its attached to the steering wheel on the 03??? its probably jstu glued on with some high strength glue or something...thats all ya gotta do is use a similar glue

I actually thought about doing that but the Acura Parts dept. told me that you cannot buy that emblem in that sze. I went to ebay and bought one, but it was way bigger than the emblem on the steering wheel!
