How many hours labor is your dealer charging for spring installation and alignment broken down.

I have an issue with the dealer I bought the car from. After going to Top management, they did me a favor and agreed to knock off 1 hour labor as "goodwill" and even offered to knock of 22.00 for "shop supplies" WTF is this?

Bottome line is that they still want 5 hours labor @95.00/hour and 89.95 for an alignment

When going to the sales manager of the dealership, he pitched the quality of work by his top notch personnel. I agrred, however, he stuck his foot in his mouth regarding this situation when he volunteered "we used to get 1150 for the body kit for the MDX's. Now that we have done a few, we can do them for $850 installed"
The difference is in the labor.

I feel I am being penalized for their lack of experience when doing springs. Common sense will tell you that any job is done quicker as you do more. and more.

What is reasonable amount of time????

 

Take it to a local speed shop. They installed my springs in 2 hours and it was the first CL they'd ever seen. Alignment was ~$60.

 

We currently charge three hours labor for lowering spring installation .Our website WWW.PARKAVEACURA.COM lists all of our current pricing schedules for all modifications .The labor time is based on Comptechs recommended labor time of 3 to 4 hours we do it in three.Jens
