Acura paint Vs ford

Spent yesterday Dawning, claying, & zainoing the new yellow mustang. I can tell you build quailty is still a ford(crappy) however the paint is 10X's better then the acura. Maybe it's the yellow color, so they used more of it? The ford paint seems alot thicker. I found I was able to rub harder with the claybar, without the worry of chipping the paint. Just a knock on the body panels & I could tell the paint difference.

that's interesting considering the number of Ford/GM paintjobs that r sooo bad, they did a 60 Minutes/Dateline special on how the automotive industry's cutbacks r ripping off the consumer...they were quick to show some older cars where the paint's been stripped down to the primer...the cars look tie-dyed (that's the only way i can describe it)

I can say the same except comparing GM to Acura.

I have an '01 Alero GLS (wife drives it) and the paint is LIGHT YEARS better than the Acura paint. No contast, the Olds. is the winner. Don't make me go take pics of my hood. 6700 miles and it looks like shit!!!

hmmm I had a 1993 Ford Probe AND a 1999 Chevy Tahoe who's paint started peeling during the first year of ownership. My acura's paint may suck, but at least it stays on for the most part.

no Dodge had (they still might) the crappiest paint jobs in the early-mid 90's. we had 94 Dakota and it was peeling (down to primer) and other dodges I've seen peeling. my girlfriend's 2nd car(which is early Dodge Spirit(i know it's a dodge but she just got it cause it was cheap) the paint on it sucks.
although GM's paint quality has slowly but surely got better. when my friend sold his 96 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 and he didn't abuse it but he washed and waxed atleast once a week(if it was cold in the winter he'd pull it into their heated barn and wash it there ) and his paint looked fine to me when he sold it.

be your own Judge, I made an orange peel site. I'll add more cars as time goes.

I think nissan wins for the cheesy paint jobs... Look at the orange peel on the sentra!
