My thoughts were the same. But the guy did bring out the CL owners manual in second photo...so
Wonder what kind of shape that nav is in though after it was hastily ripped out from of the car before being hauled away.... :sqnteek:

ok, so this guy is selling the dvd rom unit with its harness, the GPS antenna, and the screen....i went to that OEM part website and priced out all the rest of the parts i could think of that you would need...(the climate control unit and all needed components, the dashboard peice, the hazard button, the brackets for the screen.....now, all those parts came out to $432.78 with shipping....id guess probably an additional 100 bucks for parts i cant think of or replacement wires and shit for the navi and screen....so you figure 500-600 for additional parts...then you pay this dude 200-300 for his navi screen, dvd rom and antenna....so now we are at under 1000 for ALL PARTS...how much would labor be on something like this??? lets say i go buy these parts and take off the existing dashboard myself and the post-it note tray and the climate control, clock, etc...so all the acura techs have to do is INSTALL the navi and all the parts i present him with....how much could that possibly be??? 300-500 bucks??? so all in all a FAIR ESTIMATE for ALL PARTS and LABOR to convert my non-nav car to a nav car is about 1300-1500 bucks...and THATS CHEAPER THAN THE NAVI SYSTEM SELLS FOR IF YOU BUY IT WITH THE CAR!!...unless any of you guys can come up with a reason why i am wrong or way off base, i think im going to go for it!!!

i paid for $1000 extra for the navi

i think its all about where and which dealership you purchase from

my 2002 cl-s with navi came out to 31,579 after tax title and licence

i think the cl-s without navi was like 30,300 after ttl

ok ok, but still....to go and BUY all the parts new....the parts i listed were about 450....now, on top of that, the DVD rom is 2000, the screen is over 1000 and the antenna is 100!!! thats 3,550 for parts, AT LEAST!!! if i but the navi screen, dvd rom and antenna from this dude for 200-300 bucks, im saving THOUSANDS off the cost of a TRUE brand new navi swap into a non-navi car

Well, good luck to you if you decide to go for it, but I think it will be a major job to get it to all work together properly......

i am not saying its a bad idea to go for this mod but if you are going to spend that much just go with aftermarket

look at the benefits

bigger screen

navi to video

movies

etc

aftermarket will allow you to have more options with what you want to do

YES you will save 1000s but there is no WARRANTY if something breaks

OK. As of now, I dont think the stuff is legit. I've been sending him email every single day asking for the code or VIN but he kept saying, "I don't have it now, I'll get it tomorrow." Yesterday, I sent him another email but haven't received any response. Be very careful when you bid on that item.

I agree... in the end it would be better to go aftermarket. I think if you priced out a decent aftermarket Navi... it wouldn't be that much more. Plus, it's all new and guaranteed to work. You would also have to do less modification to your car to get it to work and fit nicely....
