Acura or Lexus
As some of you know, I bought my car at a Lexus dealership.
I purchased the extended warranty from Lexus. If my tranny goes, should I let Acura or Lexus replace it?
I figured if I let Lexus replace it and the tranny dies again a few times, maybe they'll feel sorry for me and give me a good trade in value.

Why wouldn't they warranty it? I purchased the extended bumper to bumper warranty to Mile 95K, which includes all powertrain parts. The car has 45K on it right now.

I can take the car to an Acura or Lexus dealership. She said I could, if I wanted to, take the car to any ASE certified mechanic in the U.S., the mechanic, or Acura would just give Lexus a call and Lexus would pay for the repair as long as it's covered under warranty.
So as long as the mechanic is ASE certified, it doesn't have to be Lexus or Acura, they can do the repairs for free.
So now that it clears that up, should I take it to Lexus, Acura or another mechanic?
Here's the link to the warranty

the tranny started to "spit out" 3rd and 4th gear... i called AcuraCare and they said to take the care to a mitsubishi dealer and the dealer would contact them... the acuracare program had a $ 100 deductable so i was upset that i would have to pay it... but it turns out that the engine & tranny were still under factory warranty (5 years 60k) so the factory warranty superceded the extended warranty...
useless story but it may help..

Yeah, I'm gonna try Lexus before Acura, but if they tell me to go to Acura then I guess I will.
My tranny is starting to slip. I just bought the car 2000 miles ago.
