Well I must say Lexus cars are nice. But Lexus is on the same level as Acura. The new RL is going to give the GS300 HELL. The gs might sell more but the RL is going to be nice. Also what do Lexus have that compare to the NSX.

Bang for the buck and exterior (subjective I admit) ... Maxima.
I actually just test-drove a 2k1 CLS today. Holy crap .. those cars hold their value about as miserably as a Maxima!
2001 CLS with all options ... 9000 miles .. $16K USD!!!
Now .. this is my first time venturing onto this forum in months. What's wrong with the car? Why is the resale so sh!t? I just read the FAQ forum about the trannie ... is that why?
Also .. heard a rumour that this model is being discontinued (from an Infiniti salesman) ... is that true?
Great car ... but don't know if we want to buy a 2nd hand if it's going to be headaches & obsolete.

One thing I agree that Maxima offers more for the money you pay... but as you said Acura is a better name....
I am a little worried about 2004 Maxima, they will start making it in the US.... I am afraid of major quality issues..... same issues they had with ML mercedes made in US....

Ok, here is a difference.... CLs were made in USA for more than one year. CLS is not the first Acura CL made in USA.....
Now, Maxima 2004 will be the FIRST Maxima ever made in USA.
There is always a chance for fuk up whenever they change country where they build it
I am sure by 2005 all the mistakes will be learned and fixed(if any).....

I'm in Toronto, Canada ... it's autotrader.ca ... but apparently she went on this evening & the listing was removed so I'm assuming it's been sold. Regardless ... she's going to put in an offer for the one being sold @ the dealership which is a bit more expensive ... let's hope the trannie holds up! We're both not toooo worried because we already know about Acura's customer service.
Wish us luck! She's going to put in her offer @ $17K (note ... all my figures are Canadian dollars translated into USD using 1.6)

My maxima I bought loaded for 26k. It was stickerd at 29k. 9 months later when I traded it in for the CL-S, it was only worth 15k.
And that was the highest any dealer in town would give me. I went to many dealers.
