It's not available for the 1st gen. It is the 3.0 kit from the Accord. It took modiifications to make it work. The install was $1200, including installing the transmission cooler.

It's no photoshop, and no bs. It someone who isn't talking about the supercharger, it's someone who HAS it.

dude, for the price of that supercharger and install, the guy could have traded his first gen for a CL-S and gone from there!

unless you can make 270 WHP with that SC... than why waste your money....? If you would be at 200-220 WHP go trade in for a new CLS-6!

that new CL-S may make slightly less power than a S/C 3.0 first gen, BUT you have a brand spankin new car, 6 speed tranny, full warranty, etc....i wouldve just traded for a 6 speed...either way, im sure that S/C is nice on his car and props to him for going that far into a first gen CL for some juice!!

Not to be a hater, but his 98 3.0 CL (w/o mods) is probably only worth $12,000, a new Type S stock is what.... $32,000....so on a trade he would have to come up with $20,000....so $4,000 for the supercharger seems resonable to me and
the truth of the matter is the First Gen CL is a lot better lookin car than the 2nd Gens

$12k + $5k = $17 --->>> $32k - $17k = $15k more needed to drive a brand new CL-6!

Thanks for the flames & comments!

I went the SC route basically because I didn't want to spend at least $15 to upgrade to a new car. Performance wise, the CL-S is better only by relative slight margin. If I were spend money now to upgrade to a nicer car, it would have to be in the M3 or CLK-500(or 55)category. Otherwise, it's not worth it for ME, others may think otherwise. Looking at the economy & job market now, it wouldn't be wise to do so.

Besides I like the uniqueness of the 1st-Gen CL!

If u don't believe I have it, come to Englishtown Acura Wars in NJ on saturday 11/16.

Thanks for repeating what I just said it is much more clear now

..............spend 4-5K on a supercharger or 20K on a CL-S 6spd that is stock. I don't know about you, but I didn't have that extra 15k laying around last time I checked
