I have not seen Tim's but the one from Wings West got a thumbs up from the group. I'm still procrastinating. My lease is half over so the motivation is slipping away.

Hmmm they used to. Complaints maybe? You sure? It was $180 or so.

I think Tim would only sell good parts...plus can't you return it after your purchase? There was another site guys were using for wings...onlinewings.com or something, do a search.

Does the "fake" spolier come with the new springs, or the wire harness for the brake light? I got a knock off from Ebay. Only to find out Acura wouldn't wire the break light when they installed it, because it didn't have the correct harness, & had to be spliced in. My trunk lid also doesn't stay up now because the weight of the spolier. I need to spend another $35 for the new trunk springs. They were already set to the higher position as per the service manual. I was showed a factory kit from the dealer, & it had everything included.(springs, wire harness, etc)

the replica from Tim has a superior paint job on it...mine looks great as of today...if you install yourself like I did, youll be a little confused by the templet bullshit...its like instructions in Tawainese, so dont try to read it...But after you figure that out its a snap, buy some new drill bits and touch up paint to paint the holes you just drilled...my only complaint about the spoiler is the LED light screws...they rust out quickly and not too long ago i had to sand down the washers and screws to repaint them...i suggest you clear coat those screws and washers before you install the spoiler...the rust on a new spoiler will drive you insane...the spoiler does not come with springs...ive been on a mission to get them somehow but only came up short...good luck...Shyne

Ruvz - Looks good. I'm leaning towards the knockoff myself. Couple of Q's.....

1. Is the wiring harness plug-n-play like the factory OE unit? I really like that fact (did an OE one on my Accord.)

2. Since it doesn't come with new trunk springs, is it light enough you don't need them? No big deal, www.acuraautomotiveparts.net has trunk springs for $27.20 + shipping. Still cheaper alltogether than a factory unit.

3. How's she holding up? Still look/fit good?

Thanks for the insight - Jim

I know, I know. I just did a search 1st before posting a redundant Q!

Anyway, you really like? Sounds like new deck springs are a must. How about the wiring harness plug-n-play factor?

Thanks man

The wiring just splices into the existing, so its no biggie. Just make sure to unplug the factory brake light so as not to be redundant (that annoys the hell outta me).

I don't have the new springs, so I have to manually lift the trunk lid (it just unlatches when pushing the button. I would like the new springs though!

The Wings West is the way to go! Saves a lot of money!

Wiring harness fits perfect with OEM.. I got mine unpainted and has it done at a local bodyshop.. it is holding up great..

The trunk is a bit heavier and doesn't just "POP" anymore, but that's okay with me..
