Question Acorn / Hail damage

So I have a lot of damage on the hood, roof, and trunk of my car from falling acorns last fall. This is from people in my house moving my car out of the driveway and leaving it under trees. Anyway, since there are many many small dents.. do you think this would be a costly repair? Would this be a painstaking job that shops might not even want to repair it unless I replace the hood or trunk (which I;m sure would be extrememly more expensive). I've never had to deal with a repair like this so any help is appreciated. I'll probably wait until after winter to avoid further repairs, and so after it's fixed I can finally have the entire car detailed.

my advice to you: talk to a body shop. i would guess somewhere in the area of 1500-2000. for that money you might as well paint the whole car.

paint isn't the problem, it's just many small dents that might be able to be taken out without having to paint. like I said though, I never had to deal with something like this, so maybe someone who's had hail type damage before can shed some light on it.

Use dry ice.......it will make the metal pop back into shape! Works great.....just wear gloves and be in a well ventilated area when you use it!

a lot of shops use it here they usually quote between $3-500 to do a whole car

how did acorns do that? did they fall from 5 miles up?
