ACLS roll over pics 4/10/04
Here are the pics from my wreck this morning. Not a pretty site It seems like this isn't a good month so far for CLs. I rolled it on my way home from work at about 6:30am. The accident happened only going about 40-45 mph while turning left. For some reason the tail just shot out and I was unable to recover from the fish tail. The car ended hitting the curb and the car rolled. The roof is really caved in, its kind of hard to see from the pics. The witness mush have said 3 or 4 times that it was a freak accident. I have to agree 100%. I have done a lot of crazy stuff in this car and never had any issues with the tail coming out This fucking sucks ass! To add to all of this I just put on my CT headers on Tuesday
Do you guys think that they'll total it or what?
Well for all of you out there, I came out of it without a scratch. Check out pics. Could some one host them for me if they get a chance. Thanks.

You got a spot on your lens our something.
Depends. Usually when the roof is caved in badly they total it because it is usually unsafe to repair. But it all depends. That sucks though that that happened.

Thats odd i never had the ass come out on mine even in the snow! I have tried to do it and couldn't (except for using the e-brake) I guess just a freak thing like you said.

WOW man. Totally sorry to hear that. I saw a car get airborne and flip over in front of me Friday. Luckly everyone was okay and I'm glad to see you were too.
If it is totalled, and your CT sways aren't damaged I wouldn't mind taking them off your hands. Let you get a little $$ back from you loss.
Damn dude I'm sorry, those pics are nasty.

All joking aside, I really hope everything works out for you. I don't know what i'd do if I were in your situation.

I am glad you are still posting! Sorry about the car. x 100
My parents rolled their car (Caddilac Cimarron) sp?) and it was an instant total...it was about 6 yrs old though. The pressure on the roof screws up almost everything. Sorry man. I hope that the CL is built better than their rebadged Sunbird or Cavalier or whatever the Cimarron was. It is pretty weird that they are taking your CL away with the key in the ignition...how else could the headlights be on so long? Damn.

they had the keys in the ignition to straighted the wheels out because they were buried in the sand.
the lights were on because the accident happened at 6:20 am and they didn't turn my lights off.
the blotch on 2 of the pictures are of the sun at sunrise (I was going eastbound)
the glass that broke was on the passenger's side window, the windshield and the sunroof...I was lucky enough to be able to roll down the driver's side window and crawl out of the car.

Oh ya the car was still running after the roll over. I was sitting there in the driver seat(hanging there) thinking that the fucking engine was running and where the hell is my wallet. Kind of funny

glad to hear you're ok... it is sad that this all happened but...
seriously, if you can't drive safely then don't fuck around so much with your car. you're lucky to be alive and lucky that you didn't hurt anyone else due to your driving. unless I'm wrong, it sounds to me like you were pushing the limits of the car and didn't know how to control it. leave the stunt car driving to the professionals and if you're gonna do something stupid, take it to a track.

No it really wasn't like that. The left turn was a gradual turn. That's why it was so crazy. I was turning left onto a 3 lane road/highway from a light. It really wasn't some kind of stunt driving or something. Trust me with a car worth what mine was/is worth I don't go out and do super crasy stunt car driving shit
It had been raining before and after the crash. The road was dry how ever. The sand on the side of the road was soft. The sand that I hit is what really contributed to the roll over. That is the reason why they had to straighten out the wheels because the they dug into the wet sand like crazy. They dug into the ground so much so that truck was moving all around the road. Any other critisisms????? No hard fellings civic4982 I didn't out line this stuff earlier.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
My back end came loose once on a turn I was going at ~30mph. I hit a small hole I didn't see and the back just popped out. I ended up "drifting" the turn but there was a car coming the other way on this 2-lane road so when I tried to straighten out I overcorrected and ended up stopped, perpedicular to the lanes with the other car a few feet from my car. I never left the narrow road... I know it was all luck that I didn't go into the ditch! VSA never did anything to help.
I had taken that turn many times on my way to work without problems at even faster speeds (it's not a tight curve!). Goes to show you how crazy shit just happens

my mistake... I just figured it'd take something wild happening for a car with all those suspension mods to go crazy... I totally retract my stupid statement.
