Do the CL-P and Accord V6 have the same engine?

Nope.. you can say its same block but internal are different.. even the CLS have the same block, but other than that, many inside stuff are different

The Accord V6 is a 3.0 and the CL-P is, of course a 3.2. I guess you would bore out the 3.0 to 3.2??? I don't know much about that or even how Honda derived the 3.2 from the 3.0. I kinda get the feeling that it's a either a big job or a costly one or someone would have done it by now. I dunno. Then again the 3.2 has only 25hp and about 20 lb-ft torque more than the 3.0 so you probably wouldn't want to spend a whole lot of money just to get those gains. Heck... headers for the 3.0 could probably come close to doing that and that's only $1000. I'd guess the 3.0 to 3.2 conversion would run quite a bit more even if it was a simple process.

But what do I know!!

 

You can mod the 3.0L to have a longer stroke in order to get it to 3.2L, no boring needed. I was thinking of purchasing some MDX or RL pistons and connecting rods for a stroke effect of a 3.5L engine. Ahh torque!
