Accord key/remote fob

Anybody knows if it works for our cars or can we get something similar?
GreenMonster gave me this link https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24588
I looked at one in person and the key looked like those high security thick blanks and the #'s of the remote didn't match up

accord keys have a transponder r w/e, so u'd have to take it somewhere to get the code in, its gotta match up w/ the car if u wanna start.

Since Green posted that link i have been looking in to this but it seems that only the 2004+ Acura car owers have done it. I am still not sure if it would work with the 2nd gens but it's something i would like to try.

Just get the 03)all silver Remote and call it a day. More attractive than that all black thing anyway, IMO.

Im trying to do the all in one thing Chopper. I don't like carring around a key and a remote.
I want to know if that remote will work with our cars?
If yeah then all you have to do is swap out the key and chip and your set

Well, out of the box, it will not work with our the CL. Now maybe if you swap out the chip or soemething, bu I'm not sure.... It has been discussed before, but not to the extent of swapping out out the chip.

FCC Code must match. Does the key have a visable FCC code? If so, does it match your current remote?
