Access to area under the ash tray

As I am retarded sometimes I put a lot of change in my ash tray and some of it got pushed into the gap and fell into the area under it. Is there a way to access that area so I can stop the changing sound as I drive?

You, my friend, are screwed

I managed to get a dime and a penny out of there with some long and thin needle nose pliers but if the change has already fallen refer to the first statement.

Yep...first remove ur OBDII cover from behind the shifter. If ur car is an automatic then it's between the heated seat switches. Then shift into D1...car off ofcourse. Then lower the ashtray partiaally and peek in w/ a flashlight. Look at all angles and you'll see the change. I use a long pick tool like the dentist has but u can use a screwdriver or other long skinny object. Just start knocking the change down...You'll be able to grab some of it but most will just have to fall down...that it unless you wanna remove the entire console. So just knock em down thru the opening and wallah....no noise. Good Luck!!
