AC Smells like crap
AC Smells like crap
I just bought my cl about 2 months ago and it was from a acura dealer so it was certified. The issue is my ac smells when i turn it on. smells like dirty feet.
Should they have changed my AC filters when the checked it all or did they cheap out on those. Would changing my filters help this??

thanks man, found some usefull stuff. Basically going to try to use the fresh air button for the AC instead of recirculating the air and also turn off the ac like a minute before turning the car off. I think im going to bring it to the dealer while its under warranty to have the AC condensor and evaporator cleaned and also change the filter. plus i got a click in the engine which is pissin me off.
Just cause you got it at a dealer doesn't mean anything. I got mine with 46K on it & the AC filter was not changed at all. It was very dirty when I changed it at 50K.
You can tell if it was changed by unhooking the glove box lid. See if the cover is still sealed into place. If it is, it hasn't been changed, if it's been cut, it has.
Dealer I'm sure will try to charge you for the filter change. Don't do it, as posted it's an EASY DIY.
