Abs Re-adjusting?

Abs Re-adjusting?

i recently got my 2003 cl-s and everytime i start it up and start to drive theres this strange vibration a few times for like 2 seconds . brought it back to the dealer and they said its normal its just the abs readjusting. i was wondering if everyone has this problem and if it really is normal or the dealer just doesnt know whats goin on .. thanks

Normal, I get the that humming sound everytime after I put into D after start.

Yeah, I think the abs "powers up" at like 3-4mph.... it's normal...

3-4 mph, and then 12 mph I think. Mine does it twice...

It isn't ABS adjusting or powering on..

The first vibration and sound you hear at very low mph is the ABS self-test. It operates ABS for a fraction of a second just to be sure it works. If it finds a problem, the "ABS" light comes on at this point.

The second vibration in CL-S models is VSA doing the same.

Weird. I've never noticed the vibrations at all.

Side note. Where in GA are you at?

If you want to get really technical, it's not a vibration per sa, it's a buzzing sound...

That would explain why I never hear the second one anymore... I switched to a 6MT. Thanks for the info...
