Abrupt pull to the left while highway driving--Please help diagnose!!

Hey everyone, Dylan here. I was hoping I could get some ideas for an alarming issue that has developed over the past couple days.

Twice now I've been driving on the highway in my 01 CLs when suddenly I hear a clunk from the drivers side wheel and the car pulls dramatically to the left. The first time it happened I thought I ran over a large pothole forcing me to correct the steering but after it happened again last night I realized I have a problem.

I took a look underneath and the sway bar end link bushings are completely disintegrated. See below.

I was wondering if this could be where that play is coming from? Honestly all the front end components look pretty tough but this is what stood out to me. Could something like this cause a dramatic shift in the wheel position while the car is in motion on smooth roads? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Take it to a Les Swaub and have them check it out. I believe they will look at it for free?
