I'm new to the fwd thing, and I was wondering if I could go with a larger width wheel in the rear like in a rwd car setup and achieve greater handling...like on my old bimmer i had 16x8 rear and 16x7.5 fronts.

would this work on the CL or not? For some reason in the back of my mind I see the car going around a corner and the rear of it just breaking loose....can you control this well with a fwd setup or is control completely gone when this happens?

P.S.-bear with me, I'm a new owner...I think of new questions about the CL daily!

 

It would only make the understeer worse, if anything get wider front wheels but that would just look goofy so dont do that.
