I looked high and low for an aftermarket replacement bumper or even a used bumper for my 01. I ended up getting a whole brand new bumper through a local Acura dealer . $225!! Yeah!! LOL ouch

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org is one online source for OEM parts. You'll have to paint the bumper if you get it from here -- about $210.

$225 from the dealer is a very reasonable price -- and a great price if mounted and painted.

I think someone once found a source for bumpers that were pre-painted. You might consider this button: . It can be your friend.

why are the bumpers so inexpensive? I got my bumper dented by an accident yesterday and I am looking to replace it. I looked at the prices and it seems not too expensive to replace..... I was sure replacing a bumper would cost at least 600-700$

Last year I replaced my rear bumper with a new one bought from Acura for 220 and it cost 300 to get painted and installed at a body shop

did it make a big contrast between the new paint job on the bumper and the paint on the rest of the car?

300 more? Bringing the total to $520? My bumper is cracked and I've been putting off the replacement for awhile.

most insurance companies will push for a reconditioned aka remanufactured rear bumper cover, basically an oem bumper that was damaged then repaired back to factory specs for a reduced cost

your bumper can most likely be repaired for far less than a new bumper costs, if you go to a reputable shop you should be able to get a lifetime warranty on the work
