So my car was keyed in my school parking lot. I have a pretty good idea of who it was, but have 0 proof and I am not going to try and start anything. So that leaves me paying for it. The scratch is about 11 inches long and kinda deep. I tried scratch remover and as I expected, it did nothing. My dad says not to use the Acura touch up paint since it will just make it worse. He says it will stand out since the scratch is so big. Anybody out there ever get their car keyed? And if so, how much did it cost to fix?

Dude, I felt your pain. I got keyed before on the hood. Repainted hood costs about $500, but insurance covered. Your cost depends on where is keyed. Where? Hood is the hardest place to fix and easy to show inperfection.

 

It was keyed next to the driver side door, below the rear seats' window.

P.S. If it matters the color is "Cardiff Blue-Green Pearl" (3.0)

 

If the mark is under the wedge of the door where is not directly exposed to the light, you might can ask them to airbrush it so that will be cheaper than repaint and won't show. Otherwise, need to repaint the whole thing and may be needed to blend into the other door and tail. But, I still think will be cheaper than the hood.

 

Costed me $300 to paint my bumper when i Fu%ked it up and $300 to paint the fender when I fuc%ked it up!

 

would recomend Acura's touch up paint?
