Exclamation :)))))

Yesterday, coming home from a friend, I see a Silver Acura Cl-S with CAI( cause I heard hte noise), it was like 10pm already, and some traffic infront of me. So he is one car infront of me. By the way I have a 2002 CL-P with navi: with alphawerks headers, HKS catback exhaust, CAI Secret Weapon, Unorthodox underdrive crank pulley, lowering spring Otto and shocks by Tokico, 19 inch lightweignt rims 235-35-19( and full trunk of tools ). First light I coudn't get close to him, because of little traffic in front, second light I pulled almost even with him , and he was looking that I have the same car as he has. So, I gave a lil bit of gas to let him know that I wanted a race ( of course my cool exhaust made a nice roar). And by the way He still was half car infront of me.So thereis a situation I am second at the 2 traffic light one car infront of me and he is on the right almost even. When green goes on, he floors the pedal, I passed the car infront of me from the left, and floor it too. So I passed him, really quikly, and started to pull away, and I still can hear his car acceleration noise, I am almost sure he was in SS mode, I wasn't. So, by 90mph I was like 4-5 car lenghts infront, and was surely pulling away, but then I just decided to slow down cause there was a 40mph zone, then he pulled to me looked really surprised at me, and he told me that he got only CAI(but I knew that already), we showed each other and we went different ways.

Are you sure the Type-S was trying? I raced a friends TL-P (I/H/E) when my only mod was CAI (I drive an 03 CL-S) and I Sloowwwlly pulled away. First and second were dead even but i started slowly pulling away after second was over. We shut down at 100 and i was one car ahead of him.

re

Yes I am sure, as I wrote before, I heard all the way till I slowed down that he was flooring. Man, after I slowed down he looked at me , he was surprised, but actually by the way my car looks you can't tell if its a S type or not, cause its not stock, and as I said my trunk was full of tools hummers, drills, set of rotors, and many other junk. He was trying hard , if he wasn't he would never pull to me with that face.

I can send you a dyno chart , I took after each mode, chart for CAI secret weapon shows 11hp 9 torque, chart for exhaust shows 7hp, chart for alphawerks headers shos 23hp 20tq, chart for unorthodox underdrive pulley shows 12hp, thats summary 225+54=279, and I don't count the Unichip that I didn't install yet.

oh and you can't add up the mods like that. also, you don't start w/225 since that's at the crank. you'll be in the mid 170s stock.

in my 2.2 5spd ive race a full bolt on CL-S before i was built and lost by 5 cars to 110. I raced a 02 before she went into paint and lost, Built w/o boost by 1 car CL-S no mods. i was 190 hp to the wheels at that point and still lost and i weigh 200 lbs or more less !!! Its hard to belive a CLP can compete with a Type s period.

uhm....the cl-p has 225 AT THE CRANK...u probably have like 170 at the wheels or something since the cl-s has 260hp at the crank and only 205ish at the wheels stock. u have a little to learn about ur own car...

quite!!! your acura 2.2 would be a joke anytime anywhere, unless you have turbo.

Ya'll don't understand, guy had only CAI,and I took him, get over it, imagine if he was stock, he would be even slower. I don't have to defend myself, I know that shit happened and that's it.( and don't tell me he wasn't trying, HE WAS BRAKING HIS ASS TO GET CLOSE TO ME, BUT IT DIDN'T HELP)

1. Hmmm...a tube is a tube.

2. It's possible that you beat him, but not 4-5 car lengths.

3. The whp for a stock CL-S is around 195-200, not 205 for the AT.

4. You can't just add mods up like that. Too many factors play a role.

I don't have a Comptech s/c, I something better ( 24v electric supercharger ( puts 6 psi) from knights( not installed yet), with s/c it would be like twice the distance,so like 8-10 car length. I am looking for something that can accumulate enough energy to spool that s/c.

yeah that must be it, otherwise there's no way this kid woulda pulled 5 or whatever lengths by 100.

225+54 = 279. ROFL

It's more like 170+30(at best for those mods) = 200 fwhp.

30hp?? you're really dumb, if you say that, headers, intake, exhaust, Unorthodox underdrive crank pulley, really lightweight racing 19 inch rims and tires with best grip

Today bit a shit out of Maxima 2001 with 3.0 and exhaust only, on I-95, that dude came pulled to me at 70-75 mph, and started to make noise with his exhaust, not loosing time, I immediatelty switched into SS downshifted to 3rd and smoked him really bad, we was going like 40 feet of distance between, for about 10-15 sec, the distance didn't change almost, by the time I shot off, cause of few cars going slower in front of me.

Yeah, I guess I am the dumb one for doubting your uber mods and 5lb 19 inch wheels from another galaxy. Let's see that dyno, or all 4 dynos that you've done for each mod. I guess we'll just never know, since you don't know how to post a picture.

It really blows my mind that a 22 year old speaks and spells like a frickin' child.

...and you really believe that an electric s/c is better than the Comptech blower??

on the street anything can happen. the only way i see this being possible is: 1. not good driver 2. imrc was out on the S.
if his imrc was out, then he is pretty much a clp in the tq midrange tq dept.
a good running cls with intake should be even with you.
if you cant post dyno or track times, i dont see how we can believe 5 cars ahead...
