99 si run

My buddy and I have been talking about running our cars....he has a stock 99 si...and I have a 99 2.3cl, with nothing really done to it....anyways we roll around 60 or so and punch it, pretty much dead even up to 100 or so....then we slow down and do a 15-20 mph roll, and once again we are dead even......not to mention my tank was just filled to the brim and his was near empty....whats the deal, I thought si's were suppose to be pretty quick......maybe im just the better driver....thats it

92-95 Si's had 125hp.

I've seen '99-'01 SIs run anywhere from around high 15s stock to low 16s stock. They're not that quick ...

No stock civic has ever been "quick", its the fact that you can buy them and mod them on a low budget that makes them nice. You can have one hell of a sleeper civic and still have money to spare, that is compared to buying a CLS, but it lacks alot of thinks.

About 1 month ago I got to race a 99 si (I had always wanted to). I broke off the line first and got a good car and half on him...after that I SLOWLY walked away, and I emphasize 'slowly'.
I've got an intake and a full exhaust system (don't ask). I've got a 99 2.3cl also, but you gotta realize that the si weighs about 500lbs less (if not more) than our CL.
I don't know that this one was stock though...it ALMOST sounded like he had an intake, but I wasn't paying a lot of attention.

In Canada, SI's have 127/115tq.

SIR's have 160hp.

Canadian SI = US EX
Canadian SIR = US SI.

No but, they should still be able to walk a 2.3CL without much effort.
