I was driving my auto 98 2.3 CL down rt 1&9 south in linden and was stopped at a light when this 5spd 97 2.2 CL pulls up next to me and gives me this look.....so i looked back a nodded "whats up".....the light turns green and i got a good start on him and was doing like 70 and i was still accelerating and i look back and he is about three car lengths back ......i pull up at the next light and looks over and gives me the thumbs up .....
his ride had no plates and was stock, from what he told me.....
my ride is also stock, no mods at all.....i mean i really whooped him and pretty bad...!!!

 

so he cant shift....

even though you have a little but more power, because that 2.2 cl is a 5 speed auto and weighs a bit less, he shoulda taken you had he knew how to drive. but good win.

My friend, Cameron, had a '97 2.2 CL 5 speed...Mine is a '99 2.3 5 speed...I never had a problem taking his car. We raced bone stock, when we both had intake only, and when we both had intake and exhaust. After that, he dropped his (not BECAUSE of that).

BTW, I took my other friend's '99GTZ (auto) in Cam's car from a light, and in mine from a 30mph role.
I thought that was kinda cool...
Anyways....
