97 Prelude SH
Just was curious as to my chances at taking a 97 Prelude SH. My car's completely stock as you can see below. I know if his was stock I'd definitely take him on a straight away, but what mods would he have to have to take me? Just curious.

I raced a 5sp Prelude SH with exhuast and headers, when I was stock with 2 other people in my car. We ran from a stop and I ran even with him til 80 then shut it down. It should be a close race, but you should win.

I have SS Prelude. The 5 speed is about .7 faster in the quarter. I ran a 15.1 in SS mode & I only have an AEM CAI. You can't touch the SH in the twisties, straight line it will run a 14.2-14.5.

14.2 - 14.5??? i hope you are talking about 1/8 mile.... i have never seen a stock prelude run anything under a 15.5.... and you are talking about a 14.2!!! you must be high- 200hp, 156 ft-lbs, 2954 lbs!!.... 14.2 with some MAJOR mods MAYBE but no way with just CAI... i have a very hard time believing you ran a 15.1 with just a cai. However I would very much like to be shown differently with a timeslip, if you have one...
well....i kno preludes are quick cars but 15.1 seems a bit too fast?did u get that number at a track ? I beat my friend's SS with bolt-ons pretty easily, my car is a cl-p and it was stock when i raced him.

then when you've spanked him, you can come over and I'll wipe that smile off your face
As a 5spd Prelude owner, let me say.......a CL-S (especially a 6spd) would blow the doors off of a stock 5spd Prelude (SH or base). Ofcourse, modded, it varies. I ran a 14.43 with i/h/e/vafc, but thats about as good as it gets with bolt ons for a Lude. Ofcourse a supercharger (tuned) will put us in the high 13s. But.....if the road has curves, that SH (due to superior handling and ATTS) will blow the doors off any CL-S.
