89 CRX Si vs. 03 CL-S

I was at a light on a nice straight street last week with my girl in the car. She loves to bust on me because she doesn't understand how people know I want to race but always try to race me. Anyway, an 89 CRX Si pulls up next to me, lines up and starts reving the 1.6. It had a coffee can GReddy exhaust but sounded pretty decent so I knew he had a header, intake, etc. (I used to have an 88 CRX Si w/ mods and it always felt really quick) I gave him the light and let him get about a car length ahead of me before I floored it (auto) and blew by him no prob. I slowed down and SS 'd it and let him go by me (he was definitely on it WOT) and I just shifted it in 2nd and blew him away once again. He pulls up at the next light and starts trying to blame the win on me having 2 cams vs his 1 cam. WTF cares how many cams you have, it's all about how fast you go. (Reminds me of the Civic I used to blow away in my SC'd Civic SI and he'd yell "ALL MOTOR" everytime before I blew him away) Anyway, it was a nice kill, I was , the girl was because I was , fin.

You mean someone :thief: my other cam? Ha ha, I know our is only SOHC, I'm just saying SOHC, DOHC, N/A, SC'd, Turbo'd, it doesn't make up for the fact you lose a race. There are some SOHC 4 bangers that will take my SOHC 6 out no problem. The point is who's faster.

Yeah, I've wondered myself. I'll keep my eyes peeled for one and see if I can initiate a race. I think I'll take one no prob, especially after my recently purchased XS headers go on next weekend!
