Wow, did you use your E-Brake to stop or did you just bump into the car in front of you to slow down.

Or did you do it Fred Flinstone style and put your heels down to stop the 3,500lb beast.

Well, that is truely impressive, lets hope these last you till you sell the car.

well considering the age of the OP his driving characteristics are probably a llittle different than most on this board

As for me I have 35K miles on my brakes and they are showing only minor signs of wear. I think with me it has alot to do with mine being a 6spd cause down shifting does a good bit of slowing the brakes would normally do

Ya, my dad got 99k on his brakes (02 - TL-S) but driving in northern WI and being not as aggressive will help

Nice job !!

I would guess that's about average for a car... Most of us CL owners had warped front rotors... I got new pads all around @ 22.5K miles.... (and the front rotors cut)... but I'm up to 57K and it's all good so far...

I've got 78k on my fronts that I know of, unless the previous owner had them worked on, which I kind of suspect since I had the rears replaced not too long ago.

Thats totally unacceptable. You should write Acura and demand a set of warped rotors.

Ok, that's nothing. The last acura I had, I bought off of a friend who bought it new. 1990 Legend 2dr. When I sold it at 183,000 miles and:
Original clutch
Original struts
Original Lights (all of them)
Original muffler (was starting to get some holes but was still quiet)

It's very very easy to get over 40-50K on brakes IMO. Thing is people don't drive easy on their brakes and then blame it on the car.

I think I had my last brake job done at around 98K, and I'm at 147K right now. Only recently the steering wheel has started to shake just a little bit when I brake, Probably need a brake service in about 5K mi.

Yeah, my dad used to go thru brakes like mad, and I never really understood it until I was following him home one day... He used to "double foot" his cars, and rode around with this brakes on 1/2 the time...

Those type of people drive me absolutely nuts !!
