7500 mile maintanance light

i bought my 03 cl with 6k miles on it. it was a demo. the maintenance light went on at 7500 miles. im going to take it in tomorrow. does it just mean a regular check up, or oil change, or nothing at all. i know this is a newbie question, i will delete when i get a few answers.

i was just curious as to what im taking it in for tomorrow.
and are oil changes still 3k miles or 3 months on this car?

thanks

It is just the "dummy" reminder light to change the oil.

To reset it. Keep pressing on reset and select buttons next to the steering column for like few seconds, turn the ignition key to the on position. This should reset it. It is documented in the user manual.

Oil Change is: 3750 miles for severe conditions and 7500 for HW miles.

Nashua.

Note: No need to take to the dealer if you can change the oil yourself.

You can check it in the Owner Link.

Just a curiosity, how much is the car discounted for being a demo?

not alot thats for sure.. with tax-title-license all that b.s. and trade in, with 2k down, it was like 27 i think.

and thanks for the info. but i got the car with 6k miles on it, and they didnt tell me if they had just did a recent oil change on it. i think im just gonna take it in to be safe, and also my work is less then 5 min from the acura dealership, so im better off.

if thats true im gonna kick someones ass at that dealership. they owe me 48.71 after my trade in and all that, and they wanted to call it even after the deal. my mom put up a complaint saying that money is our and we want a check for that amount. the guy told us he will throw in a free oil change.

if that is true about the free oil change on the first visit, and this guy might be thinkin i dont know that, he will credit me with a free oil change and keep the money he owes me. someones gonna hear it tomorrow.

Ah, where I got my CLS they offered me 5 Free Oil Changes. Since it is 40 miles away... I did not use any of those FREE offers!

Oh that sucks. Dealers piss me off when they try to bullshit met. Get your money back and see if they have $19.95 oil change online coupon so you can use it.
