7.25psi spring results

Well basically its hella fast, but I won't use it. I got severe detonation even with 7 degrees of timing retard. It will probably work with 103-octane, but I need the car to run properly on 91-octane. 3rd gear breaks loose and then at 5K I can hear it detonate so I let off... that is a BAD sound!!

I think 6.5psi given the amount of air this turbo is flowing is just about the maximum I want to run safely on 91-octane.

You need to move to a state with 93 or even 94 octane, then you can push the boost!!

How much PSI you at now? I thought it was almost 6 PSI.

You need to hit the track to get some times. The supercharged auto CL-Ss are closing in on your times.

The S/C CL-S's are closing in on my old times... the new setup is a breed of its own. In any case I just want it to be reliable, not looking for ultra-fast E.T's.

it won't be long until you're forced to go to the track.

When that happens, I will take the responsibility of recording it on video & hosting it (as long as someone provides the camera, mine's shitty )

breaking loose in 3rd before vtec is quite an accomplishment, im sorry to hear that it wont work out though, that really sucks!
in all honesty i feel that your car is at a perfect level of power. of course you think otherwise but with another 3/4+ of boost you can take out an e55 and thats pretty damn good!
what whp do you estimate with the new spring (6.5 psi) and 100 octane fuel?

So I wonder then, that if you were to do some internals like pistons and rods, maybe a new crank, can you even run in the mid teens for boost. Of course I am talking a very seldom track run, but I am new to this detonation. I don't fully understand what it consist of and how to correct it. Is it cuz you are running lean?

When I get my t3/t4 setup going, i was hoping to run 5 or 6 psi daily, and upwards of max 8psi all on 93octane. But of course I don't want to blow up or even come close to messing up my engine...you runnin 550cc injectors right?

what size are the stock injectors?? 290cc?? or more?? 80psi sounds like you are running them at a high duty cycle..

It looks as if i'll be able to tackle the 12.9 ET () but no chance I could line up next to your car in its current form
