As stated, what shift knob do you guys have? I am looking for one that has all the gears including R on the top and preferably shorted than the stock. SO what kind is it, where did you get it and how much?

I have an OEM S2000 knob. It has the 1-R on it. It's metallic and leather. The leather matches the handbrake. It has a great feel that I think is perfect for my hand. I've owned a few Momo's in the past and wanted to put a momo on my 6spd when I got it, but the owner already had this installed. I'm very satisfied with it.
I have the titianium regular shift knob from http://www.ricks2k.com/products/shiftknob.php
Nice and heavy, much shorter throw, quite an improvement. Not much to look at, simple, but I bought it for function not looks. I also got the gear pattern engraved on top, looks good. The only thing w/ the engraving is that when screwed in fully, the pattern is not where it is suppossed to be, I just need to get some red lock-tite and it should be good.

The best shift knob is the MUGEN. If your going to get parts for you CL might as well get the best parts. Check these out. Simple and has the 6-speed engravings.

A Miata owner friend o' mine has an aftermarket aluminum shift knob. It looks great, but gets scalding hot in the summer; he has to leave a baseball cap on it when not in use.
I noticed that the S2000 replacement knob guy sells little leather "condoms" (sorry) to keep the shift knob cool.
Obviously, the CLS is not a convertible (duh); so direct sunlight is not as much of a problem. But do y'alls aluminum/titanium shift knobs overheat in the summer?

Overheating has never been a problem.

Unfortunately, the linked pictures are gone.
Some had a similar experience to mine, and others had no problems. One nice thing about this kit is that it was easy to remove it and return to stock. My only real regret was carving up the underside of my shift plate before I decided I hated it.
