Not my car...just found the vid and was moved to post it. Probably posted before, and I think he's a member.

didn't really sound like clutch slip to me, more like he lost traction when going from 1st to second, and second to third, because if it was clutch slip it would have happened in the third to fourth shift as well.

naw in 4th to 5th u still hear it... brotha can't drive. str8 up.
and I drove stick for 5 years straight and raced all the time so I know what the F i'm talking about.
I HIGHLY doubt it's the clutch in all shifts... really. that car has low miles on it, remember.
he's got a heavy clutch foot and or he's ancy on the gas, so he hit's the limiter in between shifts.
either way, sounds sloppy.
That's why u see the camera bob around slightly when he shifts, u either trying too hard, or it's just not smooth.
much room for improvement.
and yes I do agree it's people like that which cause severe accidents and thus increase the restrictiveness of our laws. hence why we got the 50 over rule in ontario, and u lose ur car and license. BALZ
Thanks OP for the contribution

I didnt hear a slip on the 3-4 shift
And out curiosity, if its people like that that cause your laws to become "extreme", why are you so dissapointed having them? Are you trying to be a "person like that"? Otherwise, why complain?

No, but doing stupid shit should have its consequences, its as simple as that.
In VA its considered wreckless driving if you're doing 20 over, or if youre doing 80+ (which is bullshit when in some areas the speed limit is 70).
Ive been caught doing things like the guy in that video. Ive taken 100% responsibility for it and moved on. I was a dumbass and deserved it. I now longer drive the way I did. If I had received a slap on the wrist, do you think I would've changed my driving style? Most likely not.

More ppl die in the US from accidents than in europe and they can legally drive 120. We are more concerned about making stiffer laws and cars that drive themselves so we can multitask then actually making drivers better. Im more worried about ppl driving drunk or on phones or putting on makeup/nail polish than ppl who are speeding but paying 100% attention.

honestly it's not that the guy ripping it will fuck up, it's that every other driver in front of you probably doesn't know how to deal with the unexpected steer racer. Some people just get nervous and do stupid things that will jeprodize their safety and your safety. simply as that.

Our program for getting people licenses is the problem, its too short and not enough time behind the wheel, we just throw licenses at teenagers because its easier then having to listen to them receive a text or talk.
And when I was stationed in Japan I never had a full japanese license like they do, I had like a permit, it kinda restricted me to roads, no highways, but I could still get to the drift track...LOL

Yeah that guy should've done that in a less populated area. I do that all the time, but on damn near empty roads. Would rather mess up my ride or hurt myself than make a mistake and fuck up someone else's shit. If I seen him do that I would have caught up and waved my fist out the sun roof!

Nah what it really is, is that europe and japan, have way stricter rules in getting a license, it usually take like 2-4 years to get a license due to the strict criteria involved with driving over there unlike america which only takes 6 months at the most.

i must agree with you^^^ u can go out and get a 5.0 stang for like 5000 with 400hp ... it's quite scary considering anyone can get in whatever style/speed/power car they want at such a young age and are SO much more likely to either lose their license or life

I have aDyno for the g1. I just never had a clear enough road to safely do it, plus I dont want to deal with cops. I may pull over on the highway one day and wait for a clearing and then do the 0-60 run.
I never did it with the stock motor though. If I had to guess, probably right at the 5.8-6 second mark to 60, depending on the launch.

but yeah our program is a little short, but i think part of the problem is also we are allowed to be distracted so easy, hell you even see the piggies talking on their cell phone while driving here

Yeah I'd also be too nervous to drive like that on a freeway that's that crowded. If not because of my driving, then because of other drivers driving like teenage idiots.

^had some close calls. u see a screaming car flying down the lane any yet for no reason they decide to merge and do 60mph. wtf. i know im going to fast and what not. we all take chances, ive learned to keep it on the track, but im not always at the track. and the autobahn is so fucking expensive.
#40
lol I almost posted that. Been too many times I switch to the far left lane, gun it, then like 20 seconds later someone in an SUV quick merges in as I'm approaching. And yeah, they always go about 60
