So i was looking around the internets last night and found a guy parting out a 2012 TL 3.7l (the car was absolutely totalled) i sent him a message asking how much for the IM and TB lets say he told me less than 200!!! Picing it up tonight after work. Now i am wondering what the adapter part is and if there is anything else i will need to do this swap. I tried doing some searching on my own but i couldnt find much is there anyone thats done this before?

 

oops 2009 manifold not 2012. can anyone tell me what's need for this that's done it before?

Here is a funny story. I drove an hour to meet this guy for the parts, when i get there he pops the trunk of his car opens it and the doofus brings me the throttle body and the box for the air filter!!!! I asked him where the manifold is and he had no idea what i was talking about so i had to show him on google. He finally understands what part i am talking about then tells me he wont sell it! Was thinking about getting the bigger TB but wasnt sure if it would work with the manifold i have an my car now so i left with nothing

 

You can't use the TB since it's DBW and the CL has a cable operated TB.


Shitty situation but check out car-part.com. You'll find plenty of intake manifolds for a decent price, just search 09+ 3.7 TL, 09+ RL, 07+ MDX or 10+ ZDX..
